You want to leave money to Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center in your will. You also want the flexibility to change your will in the event that life circumstances change. You can do both.
In as little as one sentence, you can complete your gift. This type of donation to SARRC in your will or living trust helps ensure that we continue our mission for years to come.
I knew nothing about autism or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) until my nephew was diagnosed on the spectrum at age 4. I observed his mother and my brother, his father, turning over every stone to help him. And the path is not easy.
When I moved to Arizona I was fortunate to meet Jeri Kendle, SARRC’s former President & CEO (and is now the Social Enterprise Strategist for SARRC). I was very interested in getting involved and it started with volunteering for the annual Operation Santa Claus campaign drive. It was such a rewarding experience that I continued to volunteer in any way where I could be of help.
My goal was to help in some way. My experience with SARRC has been varied—from volunteer to committee member to now board member and officer. I have so much respect for every employee of SARRC—management leadership, staff, grandparent volunteers, etc. I want to see the work continue after I am gone. Remembering SARRC in my will is one way to ensure that my support continues beyond my lifetime.
